Glory

The Hebrew word for ‘glory’ is kabowd—glory, honor, abundance, riches, splendor, reputation.

Easton’s Bible Dictionary describes both kabowd and the Greek doxa as abundance, wealth, treasure, honor, splendor, brightness, majesty.

‘Then Moses said, "I pray You, show me Your glory!" And He said, "I Myself will make all My GOODNESS pass before you...” [Exodus 33:18,19]

God Himself described His glory as His goodness!

Temple
Did you know that we are the temple of God?

‘Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?’ [1 Corinthians 3:16]
‘Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?’ [1 Corinthians 6:19]

Did you also know that, in the Old Covenant, the temple, which was a type of the New Covenant temple, was filled with the glory of God?
‘...and when they praised the LORD saying, " He indeed is good for His lovingkindness is everlasting," then the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.’ [2 Chronicles 5:13,14]

When they PRAISED GOD the temple was filled with His glory...His goodness was so heavy that they couldn’t stand up!
And we are His temple now! Filled with His goodness!

‘“The glory which You have given Me I HAVE GIVEN TO THEM, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.”’ [John 17:22,23]

He GAVE us—past tense—the GLORY that His Father had given Him!
One Spirit with the Lord, filled with His glory.

Meditate on that! Hallelujah!
