Substance

The dictionary describes the noun substance as 'the real physical matter of which a person or thing consists and which has a tangible, solid presence; the quality of having a solid basis in reality or fact.'
Proverbs 8 says "...to endow those who love me [Wisdom] with wealth, that I may fill their treasuries [or storehouses]"
The Hebrew word translated for wealth here is yesh, meaning substance, existence, being. So this verse should really read "...to endow those who love me with substance, that I may fill their treasuries."
This is very interesting. From this chapter, we see that Wisdom, a spiritual entity, was established from everlasting, possessed by God at the beginning of His way, beside Him as a master workman when He created the earth.
We also know that Jesus became to us wisdom from God. [1 Corinthians 1:30] 'In Whom [Jesus] are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge'...and we are in Him and He is in us. [Colossians 2:3]
Proverbs 3:16,17 says, speaking of Wisdom, 'Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways and all her paths are peace.'
Substance
But here we see Wisdom endowing us with substance...physical matter, a tangible, solid presence...that she may fill our treasuries! The Hebrew word for treasuries is 'owstar, meaning storehouses or treasure...gold, silver, etc.
So we see Wisdom giving us the physical substance of wealth, in our earthly treasuries...our bank accounts!
This is a quantum verse! The conversion of spiritual matter into physical substance...accomplished by Wisdom, the same workman who created the earth out of that which is not seen! [Hebrews 11:3]
Faith
Now let's swing over to Hebrews 11:1..'Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."
The Greek word for assurance is hupostasis, meaning that which has foundation, is firm--a substance, real being! The KJV actually translates it this way...'Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.'
Faith actually is the substance of things hoped for!
We know from Mark 11 that faith involves believing and speaking...faith is always in two places--the heart and the mouth. And we know from Proverbs 8,9 that Wisdom speaks--and that she endows us with substance to fill our physical, natural, storehouses.
Once again, faith is the MO of the universe, the way things actually work. Yes, we see science decoding the physical parts and processes, but the thing that initiates matter in the earth is faith.
'Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ' [Romans 10:17] Colossians 3:16 says 'Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with ALL WISDOM...'
That's why Wisdom was beside Him when He SPOKE the world into existence...wisdom is faith. Seeing and believing the unseen with the heart and speaking it into existence.
