'So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer.'Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree—in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.'Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, "And to seeds," as referring to many, but rather to one, "And to your seed," that is, Christ.' [Galatians 3:9,13,14,16]
Jesus is the Seed of Abraham...we are One Spirit with Him [1 Corinthians 6:17].
Galatians 3 says that we who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer. We, plural.
Yet in v. 16 it says the promise is to SEED, singular, which is Christ.
Do you know that when Jesus was born into the earth, He was described as the '...only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.' [John 1:14] John 3:16 calls Him the only begotten Son!
But here, in Galatians 3, we are called the sons of God, neither male nor female...just God inside! Hallelujah!
The Greek word for begotten in the scriptures about Jesus is monogenes—only child. I am an only child, so I would be the monogenes of my parents. Jesus is called the only child of God.
But wait...throughout the New Testament we are called the children of God—sons and daughters, fellow heirs with Christ! Jesus becomes an older brother! No longer an only child, but an older brother! What gives?
This is really going to bake your brain...remember that we are all One with Him! Technically, He's still monogenes, just spread out a lot, poured into a lot of temples. [1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19]
Romans 5:5 says that the Love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who was given us! God is love!
The Word [singular] multiplied! [Acts 12:24] One Spirit with the Lord! [1 Corinthians 6:17]
We are the Body [singular] of Christ!
No Condemnation
That's why Romans 8:1 tells us that there is NOW no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. We are One with Him, in Him...and He is in us. We have this treasure in earthen vessels. [2 Corinthians 4:7]

The blessing of Abraham is on Jesus—we partake of it because of our unity with Him. He is the head of the Body.
The blessing doesn't depend on us, it's not something we've earned...it's on Him!
The Blessing
The great news is that the blessing of Abraham is ours, through Jesus, now, in the earth.
The great news is that the blessing of Abraham is ours, through Jesus, now, in the earth.
What kind of blessing was that?
He was not reborn, so it was not a spiritual blessing like the one we have, outlined in Ephesians 1:3...
'Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ...'
He was not seated in heavenly places in Christ—he was dead, spiritually.
So what kind of blessing is it that we have inherited through Jesus?
His servant, sent to find a wife for Isaac, described it.
'Now Abraham was old, advanced in age; and the LORD had blessed Abraham in every way.'"The LORD has greatly blessed my master, so that he has become rich; and He has given him flocks and herds, and silver and gold, and servants and maids, and camels and donkeys."' [Genesis 24:1,35]
Clearly, the blessing of Abraham is a material, natural blessing.
Trace it down through the Bible. The blessing of Abraham was on Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Job, David, Solomon...all the way down to Jesus.
How did the blessing manifest in the life of Jesus? A caravan of wise men brought Him great wealth as a small child...not 3 guys with a little box of gold!
So we are blessed, spiritually and materially, through Jesus.
The Seed of Abraham.
