Who's Going To Do It?

'…then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power. For He  must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be abolished is death.' [1 Corinthians 15:24-26]

The common misconception in the church is that Jesus Himself, in some kind of physical form, is going to do the abolishing of all rule and authority and power. That He himself is mysteriously going to reign and put His enemies under His feet, and then the end will come.

That is true, in a manner of speaking, because we are one Spirit with the Lord. [1 Corinthians 6:17] But, like Israel at the time of His earthly walk, we are expecting some kind of natural kingdom takeover.

We are His Body in the earth, just as we are seated with Him in heavenly places! We are the ones that are to dominate Satan in the earth so He can hand the kingdom over to the Father!

We are part of Him and He is part of us! And He has already given us authority over all his power. [Luke 10:19]

'And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all.' [Ephesians 1:22,23]

'For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority…' [Colossians 2:9,10]

The Greek word for complete in this verse is pleroo—to make full, to fill to the full, full measure, perfect. Ephesians 3:19 uses the same word: '…that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.'

We are the ones who are to do the putting under His feet! And I can prove it!

'The Lord will stretch forth Your strong scepter from Zion, saying, "Rule in the midst of Your enemies." [Psalm 110:2]

'Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power…' [Psalm 110:3]

'These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as the head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all.' [Ephesians 1:19-23]

'But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus…' [Ephesians 2:4-6]

'He made know to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth.' [Ephesians 1:9,10]

'You shall break the with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.' [Psalm 2:9]

We are to reign in life, through the One, Christ Jesus. [Romans 5:17] Every last one of us, from great to small, is One Spirit with the Lord and called to dominate.

The Last Enemy
And the last enemy to be abolished is death.

Jesus said plainly that we would do greater works than He did [John 14:12], and He routinely healed the sick and raised the dead. He dominated Satan in people's lives and cast him out.

This is how we take back the kingdom…we are redeemed from the curse, and we are to manifest the goodness of God in the earth. His kingdom come, His will be done, ON EARTH as it is in heaven. We are to renew our minds to these truths so that we may prove what the will of God is, that which is GOOD AND ACCEPTABLE AND PERFECT. [Romans 12:2]

Not babies dying or cancer or churches burning down.

No more poverty, disease, war or death. Just joy and peace in the Holy Spirit.

Hallelujah!

And how are we to do this? By His precious and magnificent promises…His Word!

'For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.' [2 Peter 1:4]

'For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are YES; therefore also through Him is our AMEN to the glory of God through us. [2 Corinthians 1:20]

'Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.' [Ephesians 3:20,21]

‘By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because AS HE IS, SO ALSO ARE WE IN THE WORLD.’ [1 John4:17]

Make no mistake about it. It's you and me, baby. We are His Body, in the earth, and we are called to administer the kingdom. We need to stop laying around, waiting for Him to do it. We ARE Him, in the earth, and we'd better get busy.

It's our job.
